This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment with a focus on sterile compounding, medication order entry, and automation systems. The role follows a unique 7 on/7 off schedule, providing work-life balance while supporting critical patient care needs.

Location: Norwalk, OH
Schedule:

  • 7 on / 7 off shifts, primarily 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Typically Thursday through Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately perform inpatient pharmacy order entry using Meditech
  • Manage medication distribution through Pyxis automation systems
  • Prepare sterile compounded medications following safety and quality protocols
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and medication accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ohio Pharmacy Technician License (required)
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT)
  • Minimum experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
  • Proven expertise in sterile compounding procedures
  • Familiarity with Pyxis medication automation systems

Additional Details:

  • This opportunity is a contract-to-hire role, with a 13-week contract duration initially and the potential for direct hire upon successful completion
  • Existing agreements are in place and currently being updated to reflect the latest standards
