This hospital inpatient position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support medication management and sterile product preparation in a dynamic clinical environment. The role focuses on maintaining medication safety, accuracy, and compliance within the inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restock Pyxis machines and check for outdates to ensure medication availability and safety
  • Restock medications, IVs, and supplies throughout the unit
  • Enter charges accurately to maintain billing and inventory records
  • Order, receive, and verify drug shipments to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Monitor temperature-controlled storage to ensure medication integrity
  • Prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy medications, following strict protocols
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the cleanroom environment
  • Carry out other assigned duties supporting pharmacy operations

Schedule Details:

  • Monday through Friday, with shifts of either 8 or 10 hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
  • Weekend coverage includes 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM shifts on every fourth weekend rotation
  • Assignment begins as soon as possible with a 13-week duration

Qualifications:

  • Current Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain one quickly
  • Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience
  • Experience with sterile product preparation and chemo admixture preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
