Retail Pharmacy Technician | Opa Locka, Florida

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to contribute in a specialized HIV/AIDS retail pharmacy setting. This role requires a compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental approach when serving a sensitive patient population. The position offers a contract to hire arrangement, starting immediately, with a 13-week contract duration.

Location: Opa Locka, FL
Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties, including high-volume data entry and processing Prior Authorizations (PAs)
• Dispense and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide excellent patient care and support, maintaining clear communication with patients and healthcare providers
• Demonstrate proactive problem-solving by identifying pharmacy workflow needs and stepping in to assist as necessary
• Maintain a positive attitude, fostering teamwork and collaboration within the pharmacy environment

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Florida Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Proficiency with pharmacy software is essential; experience with Pioneer Rx preferred, with training available for the right candidate
• Strong communication skills and commitment to punctuality and reliability
