Pharmacy Tech - Orange Park, Florida

An immediate opening is available for a Pharmacy Technician with expertise in high-volume retail pharmacy settings, preferably with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing experience. This contract position is based near Jacksonville, FL, offering an opportunity to contribute within a dynamic healthcare environment serving community health needs.

Location: Orange Park, FL

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including accurate and efficient high-volume data entry and dispensing.
• Maintain a fast pace to meet patient and provider needs without compromising quality.
• Provide exceptional patient care and support, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to optimize pharmacy operations.
• Demonstrate proactive pharmacy intuition by identifying duty needs and stepping in as necessary.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software proficiently for daily operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Florida Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting.
• Experience with dispensing HIV/AIDS medications is highly preferred; please indicate this on your resume.
• Strong communication skills with patients, providers, and team members.
• Dependable with a commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Positive attitude and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Software-savvy, especially familiar with QS1.

This contract position begins immediately and extends for approximately eight weeks, with the potential for extension if the candidate is an excellent fit.
