Pharmacy Technician in Orange Park, FL

A pharmacy technician position is available on a contract basis in the Jacksonville, FL area, with an immediate start. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with recent high-volume retail pharmacy experience and specialized knowledge in HIV/AIDS medication dispensing.

Location:

• Jacksonville, FL (Orange Park vicinity)

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy tasks including high-volume data entry and medication dispensing
• Maintain a fast pace to meet the demands of a busy environment
• Deliver a high level of patient care and support, ensuring clear and compassionate communication
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy team and healthcare providers
• Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by proactively identifying duties that require attention and stepping in to assist
• Use QS1 software proficiently to manage prescriptions and inventory
• Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance

Qualifications:

• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license
• Minimum of two years recent experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Documented experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing (even minimal experience should be explicitly noted on the resume)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
