Pharmacy Technician - Oregon, IL

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician seeking to advance within a Long-Term Care (LTC) mail order environment. The role focuses on Pharmacy Service Representative (PSR) functions and billing processes, working closely with patients, pharmacists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal prescription coverage and accurate insurance verification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PSR duties, including processing billing and insurance verification.
• Communicate effectively with nurses and pharmacists to coordinate patient care.
• Assist patients in obtaining the best possible medication coverage.
• Manage data entry tasks accurately within the QS1 computer system.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and company policies in a LTC mail order setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven pharmacy technician experience.
• Strong billing and insurance verification background.
• Proficient data entry skills.
• Valid Illinois pharmacy technician license.
• National certification as a pharmacy technician.
• Experience working within QS1 pharmacy software preferred.

Location:

• Oregon, IL

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Rotating Saturdays, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

This position offers a temp-to-hire pathway, providing the chance to transition into a direct hire role. Candidates will be required to sign agreements as part of the onboarding process.
