Pharmacy Technician | Oxnard, California

Two Pharmacy Technician positions are available in a busy 250-bed inpatient hospital setting. The facility serves as the county hospital for Ventura County and offers a dynamic environment suited for professional growth.

Location: Ventura, CA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks +)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons
• Every other weekend

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds following hospital protocols
• Restock Pyxis units to ensure medication availability
• Handle incoming pharmacy telephone calls and provide timely support
• Perform other inpatient pharmacy technician duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required
• New graduates with proper training are encouraged to apply
• Previous experience or training in intravenous (IV) compounding is highly desirable but not mandatory

Candidates comfortable navigating fast-paced hospital environments and working varied shifts will find this position fulfilling. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to develop inpatient pharmacy skills, especially in sterile compounding.
