This opportunity is for a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support a 250-bed inpatient facility. The role involves critical inpatient pharmacy duties including both sterile and non-sterile compounding, managing inventory by restocking Pyxis units, and handling phone calls directed to the pharmacy. This position offers a variable schedule with days and afternoons, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding to prepare medications in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Restock and maintain Pyxis medication dispensing units to ensure availability of medications.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to calls coming into the pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare team to support inpatient medication management.

Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Prior experience or training with intravenous (IV) medications is highly advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.

Location: Oxnard, CA

Schedule:

  • Variable days and afternoons
  • Every other weekend

This is a long-term contract position with an ASAP start date. The role provides valuable experience in a fast-paced inpatient setting, ideal for pharmacy technicians looking to develop and apply their skills in hospital pharmacy operations.
