Join a dynamic pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician supporting prescription processing and medication management in a busy retail/mail order environment. This 13-week contract position is based in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and fill prescriptions accurately, including insurance adjudication and resolving rejections
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification and subsequent shipping
  • Handle data entry and manage prescription paperwork while communicating effectively with patients and prescribers
  • Maintain inventory accuracy via daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring
  • Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Cross-train to support various pharmacy functions and departmental needs
  • Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to maintain compliance and confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • PTCB certification and valid Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience; some call center background preferred
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams
