Pharmacy Technician in Panama City Beach, FL

This opportunity is for an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support an infusion center operating within a clean room environment. The facility serves patients receiving treatment, including chemotherapy, so prior chemo compounding experience is highly desirable. The position is a 13-week contract to hire, offering full-time first shift hours.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy in dosing and compliance with authorization and insurance approvals.
• Verify patient orders, check drug integrity, and maintain logs including temperature records, lot numbers, and controlled substance documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance of workspace including hood cleaning, material disposal, and management of drug information and MSDS sheets.
• Handle inventory functions such as receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and data entry to support smooth pharmacy operations and medication availability for patients.

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of pharmacy experience, especially with intravenous (IV) compounding skills.
• Certification in IV compounding preferred.
• Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Experience in a clean room or infusion center setting is an asset.
