Join a dynamic infusion center pharmacy team as an IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician on a 13-week contract to hire. This role offers the opportunity to work in a clean room environment, supporting patient care through precise medication preparation and compounding, with a strong emphasis on chemotherapy compounding experience.

Location: Panama City, FL
Contract Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule:

  • 1st shift, full-time
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and compounding sterile medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, insurance approvals, and compliance with OSHA and internal safety guidelines.
  • Verifying medication orders, patient information, and drug integrity while maintaining comprehensive logs, temperature records, lot numbers, and controlled substance documentation.
  • Maintaining clean, compliant workspace conditions, including hood cleaning, proper waste disposal, and updating drug information and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Managing inventory processes such as receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and data entry to ensure medication availability and smooth pharmacy operations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated IV compounding skills; chemotherapy compounding experience highly preferred.
  • IV certification is preferred.
  • Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred.
