Pharmacy Technician – IV Compounding Specialist | 13-Week Contract to Hire

This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in an infusion center environment specializing in sterile IV medication preparation, including chemotherapy compounding. The position operates primarily during weekday business hours, providing a stable and consistent schedule.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound IV medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring precise dosing and adherence to authorization and insurance protocols.
• Verify patient orders and drug integrity while maintaining accurate logs, temperature records, and controlled substance documentation.
• Maintain a sterile and compliant workspace in the clean room, including routine hood cleaning and proper disposal of materials.
• Manage inventory processes such as receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and data entry to support seamless pharmacy operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of pharmacy experience, with demonstrated skills in IV compounding.
• IV certification is preferred.
• Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician License preferred.
• Experience working in a clean room and infusion center setting, with chemo compounding highly desirable.
