Pharmacy Technician - Panama City, Florida

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available in an infusion center that features a clean room environment, supporting patients receiving specialized treatments. This 13-week contract-to-hire position offers a full-time, first-shift schedule with consistent hours Monday through Friday.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound intravenous medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy in dosing and authorization.
• Verify patient information, medication orders, and drug integrity, maintaining detailed documentation such as logs, temperature records, lot numbers, and controlled substance forms.
• Ensure clean and compliant work environments by performing hood cleaning, proper waste disposal, and updating drug information and MSDS sheets.
• Manage pharmacy inventory including receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and data entry to facilitate smooth medication availability.
• Adhere to OSHA and departmental guidelines to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience with intravenous compounding skills.
• Valid Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate required.
• IV certification strongly preferred.
• National Pharmacy Technician License is a plus.
• Previous experience with chemotherapy compounding highly valued.
