An infusion center is seeking an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation and compounding under pharmacist supervision. This contract-to-hire position offers a full-time schedule primarily on first shift, with hours designed to provide a balanced workweek.

Location: Panama City, FL
Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and compounding intravenous medications with precision, ensuring proper dosing, authorization, and insurance approval.
  • Verifying patient orders and drug integrity, maintaining logs, temperature records, lot numbers, and controlled substance documentation following OSHA and departmental regulations.
  • Keeping the clean room environment compliant and safe by performing hood cleaning, proper disposal of materials, and maintaining drug information and MSDS sheets.
  • Managing inventory tasks such as receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and accurate data entry to ensure seamless pharmacy operations and medication availability.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated IV compounding skills.
  • IV certification preferred.
  • Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
  • Prior experience within infusion centers and chemotherapy compounding highly preferred.
