This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in IV compounding, working within an infusion center environment. The role involves preparing and compounding medications under pharmacist supervision while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. With a focus on chemotherapy compounding, this position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.
Schedule & Hours:
- First shift, full-time
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Compound medications accurately, ensuring proper dosages and authorization.
- Verify patient orders and drug integrity, maintaining detailed logs and documentation.
- Maintain clean room standards including hood cleaning and proper waste disposal.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, labeling, billing, and data entry.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, departmental protocols, and safety guidelines.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three to five years pharmacy experience with IV compounding expertise.
- IV certification preferred.
- Valid Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician certification required.
- National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
- Experience in chemo compounding highly advantageous.
