A healthcare facility in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support their overnight IV/Inpatient pharmacy operations. This 13-week contract role offers consistent overnight hours with a 7-on/7-off schedule, ideal for professionals skilled in sterile compounding and pediatric pharmacy services.

Location:

  • Pflugerville, TX

Schedule:

  • Overnight shift, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 7 days on, 7 days off

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and compound sterile IV medications adhering to strict safety protocols
  • Manage inpatient pharmacy operations during overnight hours
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and medical teams to ensure accurate medication dispensing
  • Utilize EPIC electronic health records system effectively for medication management
  • Maintain compliance with hospital and state pharmacy regulations

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT-TX) licensure from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required
  • IV certification mandatory
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital setting
  • Pediatric pharmacy experience preferred
  • CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is an asset
  • Completion of 40 hours of sterile compounding training accredited by ACPE or ASHP preferred
  • Proficient with EPIC electronic health records system
