An opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in IV/Inpatient care is available for an overnight shift at a leading pediatric hospital in Pflugerville, TX. This contract role spans 13 weeks, starting March 9, with a demanding but rewarding schedule of 7 nights on, 7 nights off, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and compound sterile IV medications for pediatric inpatient care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams via the EPIC system.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication preparation and handling.
  • Support patient care by verifying medication orders and dosages.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Texas (RPHT-TX) required.
  • IV certification mandatory for sterile compounding.
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience, preferably pediatric.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPHT) certification preferred.
  • Completion of 40 hours of accredited sterile compounding training preferred.
  • Proficient with EPIC electronic health records system.
