Pharmacy Technician in Philadelphia, PA

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines for sterile and non-sterile compounding through continual training and competency assessments.
• Accurately read and interpret prescriptions, entering orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare and compound medications per established formulations under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in preparing and verifying formula log sheets and maintain thorough documentation to meet compliance requirements.
• Measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications precisely.
• Manage inventory by monitoring and maintaining stock levels of ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support batch compounding, labeling, and verification activities.
• Ensure timely preparation and fulfillment of prescriptions for patient pickup or shipping.
• Maintain detailed records of compounded products and document all work performed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proven expertise in sterile compounding is required.
• Active PA Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
