Pharmacy Technician - Phoenix, AZ

This opportunity is for a Retail Pharmacy Technician position based in Phoenix, AZ, with a contract-to-hire arrangement over 13 weeks. The role is critical as a backfill needed immediately due to the current technician not meeting performance expectations.

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule/Hours:

• 1st Shift
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately entering prescription data into the Pioneer Rx system
• Contacting patients and physicians’ offices to clarify prescription details when necessary
• Filling and dispensing medications as prescribed while carefully verifying patient allergies
• Addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and adherence to policies
• Delivering excellent customer service to support a positive pharmacy experience

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear Arizona Pharmacy Technician license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience working in retail pharmacy settings
• Proficiency with Pioneer Rx or similar pharmacy systems is beneficial
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Additional Information:
You will work alongside a team consisting of one pharmacist and three technicians, managing a moderate script volume of under 100 prescriptions per day.
