An immediate opening is available for a skilled pharmacy technician to support a busy retail and mail order pharmacy operation in Phoenix, AZ. This position requires someone with proven high-volume retail pharmacy experience, ideally including exposure to HIV/AIDS medications, who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

This is a 13-week contract opportunity with potential to convert to permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-volume data entry and medication dispensing with a focus on mail order delivery and some retail walk-in customers
  • Maintain speed and accuracy while managing multiple tasks in a demanding workflow
  • Demonstrate proactive pharmacy intuition by anticipating workflow needs and assisting teammates as necessary
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow pharmacy staff through strong communication and teamwork
  • Stand for the majority of each shift and maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience (within the last year) in a fast-paced, high-volume retail pharmacy setting is mandatory
  • Experience handling HIV/AIDS medications must be clearly stated on the resume
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or valid Arizona state pharmacy technician license
  • Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is highly preferred but not required
  • Positive attitude and dependability are critical to meeting client expectations
