A retail pharmacy technician role is available on a contract-to-hire basis in Phoenix, AZ. This position supports a small but busy pharmacy team consisting of one pharmacist and three technicians. With a manageable daily prescription volume under 100 scripts, the pharmacy utilizes Pioneer Rx systems and operates Monday through Friday on the first shift.
Key responsibilities include data entry and processing prescription filling while ensuring verification of patient allergies. The technician will also communicate effectively with patients and providers by calling patients and physician offices, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints according to organizational policies. Delivering excellent customer service is essential to maintaining positive patient interactions.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current, active Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona
- Minimum of 2 years recent pharmacy experience specifically in a retail setting
Schedule and hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
