Pharmacy Technician | Phoenix, Arizona

A retail pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports a pharmacy team consisting of one pharmacist and three technicians with a daily prescription volume of under 100 scripts. The position offers a consistent 1st shift schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter prescription and patient data into the Pioneer Rx system
• Contact patients and physician offices as needed to clarify prescriptions or gather information
• Fill and dispense medications according to provider instructions, ensuring verification of patient allergies prior to dispensing
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly while adhering to organizational policies
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive patient experience

Qualifications:

• Current and active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona
• Minimum of 2 years recent pharmacy experience exclusively in a retail setting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare providers
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx software preferred
