A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports one pharmacist and three technicians in managing prescription volumes under 100 per day using Pioneer Rx software. The position offers a consistent first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter prescription and patient data into the system
• Contact patients and physician offices to clarify or confirm prescription information
• Fill and dispense medications as prescribed, ensuring patient allergies are verified before dispensing
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, following organizational policies
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and pharmacy team members

Qualifications:

• Current Pharmacy Technician license valid in the state of Arizona
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a pharmacy technician, specifically in a retail setting
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, preferably Pioneer Rx, is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well within a team and maintain a patient-focused approach
