Pharmacy Technician in Phoenix, AZ

A retail pharmacy technician opportunity is available in Phoenix, AZ, offering a 13-week contract with potential for hire. This role involves supporting a team comprised of one pharmacist and three technicians in a setting handling fewer than 100 prescriptions daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate data entry tasks related to prescription processing.
• Communicate effectively with patients and physician offices to clarify prescription information.
• Fill and dispense medications per provider instructions while verifying patient allergies.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and in line with organizational policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold a clear and active Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience working as a pharmacy technician, preferably within a retail pharmacy setting.

Work Schedule:

• First shift: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Systems:

• Experience with the Pioneer Rx system is preferred.
