Pharmacy Tech - Phoenix, Arizona

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician seeking a rewarding role in a retail pharmacy setting. The position is based in Phoenix, AZ, and offers a contract engagement with the potential to transition to a permanent role after 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter data into the pharmacy system.
• Communicate effectively with patients and physicians’ offices to clarify and coordinate prescriptions.
• Fill and dispense medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety by verifying allergies prior to dispensing.
• Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally in line with organizational policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to enhance the patient experience.

Schedule and Work Environment:

• First shift: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Supportive team environment comprising one pharmacist and three technicians.
• Utilize the Pioneer Rx system.
• Manage a script volume of fewer than 100 prescriptions daily.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a pharmacy technician, with a preference for retail pharmacy practice.
