Pharmacy Technician - Plainfield, Indiana

A reputable mail order and specialty pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role requires a dedicated professional to support high-volume pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and reliability in medication preparation and distribution.

Location: Plainfield, IN
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2nd shift (12:30 pm - 9:00 pm), with possible weekend shifts
Schedule Note: Candidates will initially start on the day shift (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) and transition to evening shifts once the evening pharmacist team is established.
Duration: 26 weeks with intent for direct hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions in a high-volume mail order and specialty pharmacy setting
• Maintain proper documentation and compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Assist pharmacists with inventory management and medication packaging
• Ensure patient safety through careful verification of medication labels and dosages
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to promote efficiency and reliability in daily operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent pharmacy technician experience, preferably in high-volume retail or mail order environments
• Valid Indiana pharmacy technician license
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven reliability and ability to maintain consistent attendance
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
