Pharmacy Technician - Plano, Texas

Support advanced sterile compounding operations as a Pharmacy Technician specializing in sterile preparation. This role involves working in a dynamic pharmacy environment focused on delivering high-quality compounded medications, including infusions, that meet stringent safety and regulatory standards.

Location: Plano, TX
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Schedule/Hours:

• Tuesday to Friday: 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• On-call rotation: One weekend every eighth week (from end of Saturday shift through Monday morning opening)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile compounds within the cleanroom environment following all aseptic techniques
• Rotate between pharmacy prep duties and mixing activities in the cleanroom
• Ensure compliance with sterile compounding best practices and organizational protocols
• Participate in the on-call rotation to address urgent compounding needs outside regular business hours

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License
• Sterile Compounding Certification required
• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of sterile compounding pharmacy technician experience
• Experience with infusion preparation highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of USP <797> and aseptic techniques
• Ability to maintain attention to detail and safety in a controlled environment
