Pharmacy Technician in Plano, TX

Seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in Plano, TX. This Contract to Hire position offers an opportunity to contribute your specialized compounding skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• Tuesday-Friday: 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• On-call rotation: One weekend every 8 weeks, from end of shift Saturday until 8:00 a.m. Monday

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile medications following strict aseptic technique
• Rotate between pharmacy prep duties and cleanroom mixing tasks to ensure quality and accuracy
• Adhere strictly to safety and regulatory guidelines for sterile compounding processes
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy team to meet patient needs and maintain workflow efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License
• Sterile Compounding Certification required
• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of sterile compounding pharmacy technician experience
• Experience with infusion therapies essential
