Pharmacy Technician | Plano, Texas

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced, closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital setting in Plano, TX. This contract-to-hire, full-time position offers a unique role supporting the hospital’s medication needs, focusing exclusively on behavioral health medications. The pharmacy operates similarly to a long-term care model, combining walk-in clinic support with efficient outbound prescription fulfillment using automation and streamlined workflows.

Location: Plano, TX
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  Type: Contract-to-Hire, Local Only, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense behavioral health medications in a high-volume environment (350-400 scripts per day)
• Utilize Enterprise RX software (training provided) to support pharmacy operations
• Maintain a reliable presence and demonstrate accountability in daily workflow
• Support pharmacy operations within a closed-door setting without administering vaccines
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate prescription processing

Qualifications:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Texas (required)
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy technician experience; 2 years preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
• Strong attention to detail and reliability essential
• Previous experience supporting behavioral health or similar specialized pharmacy environments a plus
