A pharmacy technician position is available within a specialized AIDS/HIV retail pharmacy setting in the Fort Lauderdale area. This role requires sensitivity and respect toward a diverse patient population, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to pharmacy duties.
Location:
- Pompano Beach, FL (near Fort Lauderdale)
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Flexibility to work Saturdays is a must
Responsibilities:
- Perform typical retail pharmacy duties including data entry and dispensing medications
- Provide high-level patient care and support with a non-judgmental attitude
- Maintain effective communication with patients, providers, and the pharmacy team
- Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by identifying and addressing duty needs proactively
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment
- Experience working with HIV/AIDS medications is essential and must be clearly indicated on the resume
- Proficient with pharmacy software; experience with QS1 preferred (training available)
- Florida Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
