Retail Pharmacy Technician in Pompano Beach, FL

A pharmacy technician position is available with a focus on retail pharmacy within an HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy setting. This role requires a respectful and non-judgmental approach when interacting with a sensitive patient population. The opportunity is a 13-week contract to hire with a start date as soon as possible.

Location: Pompano Beach, FL
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties, including high-volume data entry, prior authorizations (PAs), and dispensing/filling prescriptions
• Provide a high level of patient care and support with clear communication
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy team members and healthcare providers
• Exhibit pharmacy intuition by proactively identifying and addressing tasks and needs within the pharmacy
• Maintain punctuality and a consistent attendance record
• Foster a positive and professional attitude throughout daily work

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment
• Pharmacy technician license in Florida (PTCB certification is a plus but not required)
• Comfortable working with Pioneer Rx software; training available for those who are software savvy
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
