Pharmacy Technician in Pompano Beach, FL

Join a specialized pharmacy team serving the AIDS/HIV community in the Ft. Lauderdale area as a Pharmacy Technician. This role offers a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity with an immediate start, located in Pompano Beach, FL. Working within an AIDS/HIV specialty pharmacy requires a respectful, non-judgmental approach to patient care in a sensitive environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (flexibility to work Saturdays is essential)

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties including data entry and dispensing medications accurately.
• Engage with patients empathetically, providing high-quality support and communication.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers.
• Demonstrate proactive pharmacy intuition by identifying workload needs and stepping in to assist without prompt.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting is required.
• Experience with HIV/AIDS medications must be clearly documented on your resume.
• Licensed as a Florida Pharmacy Technician; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficient with pharmacy software; experience with QS1 is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
• Commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.
