Pharmacy Technician - Portage, MI

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a background in retail pharmacy settings. The role offers a temp-to-hire arrangement with a focus on day shifts and rotating start times, providing a dynamic schedule within a well-established environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescription medications following legal and safety protocols
• Assist pharmacists in daily operations, including customer service and inventory management
• Utilize the Pioneer RX computer system for prescription processing and record keeping
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with pharmacy standards
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions and medication concerns

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license
• Proven pharmacy technician experience, particularly in retail pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with the Pioneer RX system is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules and collaborative team environments

Schedule and Location:

• Location: Portage, MI
• Workdays: Monday through Friday
• Shift Length: 8.5-hour shifts with rotating start times at 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM
• Note: The pharmacy closes at 6:00 PM on Fridays and currently requires no weekend shifts, though weekend work may be introduced later
