Pharmacy Technician | Portage, Michigan

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute as a Pharmacy Technician within a dynamic retail pharmacy environment. The position is based in Portage, MI, and provides a contract-to-hire pathway, allowing for career growth and stability.

Work Schedule and Environment:

• Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts
• Rotating start times: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM
• Pharmacy closes at 6 PM on Fridays
• No weekend shifts initially, with potential future changes
• Retail pharmacy setting
• Utilization of Pioneer RX computer system

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately
• Managing inventory and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Providing excellent customer service and support to pharmacy patrons
• Operating Pioneer RX software to maintain patient records and prescription information

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required
• Proven experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail setting
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX system is highly advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
