Pharmacy Technician | Portage, Michigan

A Pharmacy Technician role is available in a retail environment with rotating day shifts, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for candidates with retail pharmacy experience who are licensed in Michigan and familiar with pharmacy technician duties.

Location:
Portage, MI

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8.5-hour shifts
• Rotating start times at 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM
• Closed Fridays at 6 PM
• No weekend shifts to start; weekend hours may be introduced later

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
• Manage inventory and assist in daily pharmacy operations
• Provide excellent customer service and support in a fast-paced retail environment
• Utilize Pioneer RX pharmacy software to enter and review prescription data
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician License required
• Previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting mandatory
• Experience using Pioneer RX pharmacy system is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under rotating schedules
