An opportunity is available for experienced pharmacy technicians to support medication dispensing operations in a dynamic pharmacy setting. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of medications while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Location:

  • Portland, ME

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Rotating weekend shifts

Duration:

  • 13-week contract, with an immediate start

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
  • Prepackage medications according to established standards and government regulations
  • Assist Pharmacists with final prescription checks, including preparing medications for final review and packaging afterward
  • Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
  • Support Pharmacy Management in inventory control, including receiving supplies, monitoring lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts
  • Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure equipment is properly calibrated and sanitized

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Maine Pharmacy Technician license
  • Previous experience working under pharmacist supervision in a pharmacy environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and regulatory compliance

This role focuses on medication fulfillment and prepackaging and does not involve intravenous (IV) medication preparation.
