Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Pottstown, PA

This per diem opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician seeking a short-term assignment in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations by accurately entering patient and prescription information, assisting with dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, managing OTC inventory, and providing excellent customer service to patients. You will play a key role in resolving insurance adjudication issues to help facilitate prescription processing.

Schedule:

• Term: September 8-10
• Shifts: 1st shift
• Hours: Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter patient details and prescription orders into the pharmacy system efficiently and accurately.
• Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications following established protocols.
• Monitor and replenish over-the-counter inventory to maintain proper stock levels.
• Greet customers warmly and address questions or concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Resolve adjudication issues by working with third-party prescription plans.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license for the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx system is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
