This position serves as a vital link between pharmacy services and multiple healthcare facilities, ensuring quality medication management and compliance across long-term care environments. This direct hire opportunity is perfect for a motivated technician who thrives in a travel-based role, fostering partnerships and supporting facility pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership and staff, acting as the liaison for assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the main contact for facilities within your territory, addressing inquiries and ensuring delivery of high-quality pharmacy services and support.
  • Provide guidance on medication therapy, compliance, and regulatory standards in collaboration with clinical and pharmacy directors.
  • Conduct training and educational sessions on pharmacy systems, medication use, and facility startups.
  • Perform monthly onsite visits and reporting to promote continuous improvement and customer success.
  • Assist with survey preparation, medication cart/room inspections, and medication pass observations as requested.
  • Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams to coordinate seamless service provision.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses in Virginia and Maryland.
  • PTCB certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings.
  • Proficient with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
  • Reliable transportation for travel across multiple facility locations in the assigned region.
  • Flexibility to accommodate occasional late-day audit visits and potential overnight stays.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, standard hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Rare weekend work required.
  • Approximately 40 hours per week.
