Support pharmaceutical care in an inpatient hospital setting by providing essential technical assistance under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This full-time, permanent role involves preparing, labeling, dispensing, and distributing medications for diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your contribution ensures the safe and timely delivery of pharmaceutical products, helping the healthcare team deliver high-quality patient care.

Location:

  • Flemington, NJ (approximately one hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City)

Schedule:

  • Variable days and afternoon shifts based on department needs
  • Weekend rotation required as scheduled

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare, label, and dispense pharmaceutical products for inpatient use
  • Operate and manage inventory using Pyxis and Omnicell medication management systems
  • Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparation following strict protocols
  • Support the pharmacy team to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in weekend rotation and variable shift assignments

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain quickly
  • National certification through PTCB or NHA
  • Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy technician experience, including IV preparation
  • IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred but not mandatory
