Pharmacy Technician | Quincy, Massachusetts

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available for evening shift coverage, Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, with rotating weekends. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily. Support is provided for software training on Frameworks, ensuring smooth adaptation to the pharmacy’s system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications in proper packaging formats such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely resident delivery.
• Assist with medication ordering, receiving, and stocking, including monitoring for proper storage and expiration dates.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient and medication records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license required.
• PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Pharmacy experience highly valued; however, trainees are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment is essential.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am
• Rotating weekends

Compensation:

• Trainee license holders start at $19 per hour.
• State-licensed technicians earn $22 per hour.
• Certified technicians receive $25 per hour.
• Performance-based bonuses available to reward excellence.
