A healthcare facility in Quincy, MA is seeking three dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join their evening shift team, working Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with rotating weekends. This direct hire opportunity welcomes candidates at various experience levels, including trainees, state-licensed, and certified pharmacy technicians.
The pharmacy handles a high prescription volume—approximately 600 prescriptions daily—using the Frameworks software system, with training provided for new users. This role requires a fast and efficient worker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications accurately using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose for timely resident delivery.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications; ensure proper storage and monitor expiration dates.
- Maintain precise patient and medication records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license (clear and active) is required; trainees with a trainee license are encouraged to apply.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is preferred.
- Previous pharmacy experience is beneficial but not mandatory for trainees.
- Ability to work efficiently under high prescription volume demands.
Compensation varies by experience and credentials:
- Trainees start at $19 per hour.
- State-licensed technicians start at $22 per hour.
