Support long-term care pharmacy operations as an Input Technician, working within the Input Department to process medication orders accurately and efficiently while complying with all federal and state regulations. This full-time role offers a 13-week contract to hire opportunity with flexible work options including remote, on-site, or hybrid arrangements depending on candidate preference and location.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Work from home with equipment provided; on-site or hybrid options available for local candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter new orders and update patient profiles accurately from the order queue
- Identify and handle controlled substance requests in accordance with policy
- Troubleshoot insurance rejections and collaborate with billing as needed
- Prioritize routes and orders to optimize workflow efficiency
- Contact facilities to obtain missing information or communicate dispensing issues under pharmacist direction
- Answer phone calls promptly, within three rings, providing timely and professional customer service
- Adhere strictly to the Absolute Check Policy ensuring all required pharmacist verifications are completed
- Collaborate with Back Counter staff to communicate order updates
- Participate in business meetings and mandatory trainings
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Framework software is essential
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- WI Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred
- Previous pharmacy technician experience with strong typing and clerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Access to a quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet
