Job Type Contract To Hire

Support long-term care pharmacy operations as an Input Technician, working within the Input Department to process medication orders accurately and efficiently while complying with all federal and state regulations. This full-time role offers a 13-week contract to hire opportunity with flexible work options including remote, on-site, or hybrid arrangements depending on candidate preference and location.

Schedule & Location:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Work from home with equipment provided; on-site or hybrid options available for local candidates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter new orders and update patient profiles accurately from the order queue
  • Identify and handle controlled substance requests in accordance with policy
  • Troubleshoot insurance rejections and collaborate with billing as needed
  • Prioritize routes and orders to optimize workflow efficiency
  • Contact facilities to obtain missing information or communicate dispensing issues under pharmacist direction
  • Answer phone calls promptly, within three rings, providing timely and professional customer service
  • Adhere strictly to the Absolute Check Policy ensuring all required pharmacist verifications are completed
  • Collaborate with Back Counter staff to communicate order updates
  • Participate in business meetings and mandatory trainings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of Framework software is essential
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • WI Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience with strong typing and clerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Access to a quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet
