An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in long-term care pharmacy operations. This full-time, 13-week contract-to-hire position offers flexibility with remote work options, as well as on-site or hybrid arrangements for local candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter new orders and changes to patient profiles from the queue
  • Identify controlled substance requests and handle per established policies
  • Troubleshoot insurance rejections and coordinate with the billing department as needed
  • Prioritize routes and orders efficiently
  • Communicate with facilities to obtain missing information or report dispensing issues
  • Promptly answer phone calls within three rings
  • Notify Pharmacists of medication orders that cannot be dispensed, and follow-up with facilities under Pharmacist direction
  • Adhere strictly to the Absolute Check Policy to ensure compliance and patient safety
  • Relay updates to Back Counter staff reliably
  • Provide timely and professional customer service
  • Participate in all required business-related meetings and trainings

Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of Framework software (required)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
  • Prior pharmacy technician experience with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong typing and clerical skills
  • Ability to organize workload independently and adapt to new situations
  • Quiet workspace with high-speed internet for remote work
