A direct hire opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in both Virginia and Maryland who is ready to travel throughout facilities in these states. This role involves serving as the liaison between the pharmacy and various healthcare facilities, ensuring effective communication and high-quality medication services across multiple locations.
Locations of travel include numerous facilities in Virginia such as Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, Goochland, Kilmarnock, Hampton, Newport News, Gloucester, Colonial Beach, and Yorktown, along with select sites in Maryland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership and staff, acting as the primary contact for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with pharmacy operations and clinical services directors to support medication therapy and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Promptly address client inquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and product introduction tailored to client needs.
- Conduct training sessions on facility and pharmacy systems, medication protocols, and startups.
- Perform monthly onsite visits with detailed reporting and facilitate survey preparation.
- Carry out medication cart/room inspections and medication pass observations as requested.
- Coordinate with internal pharmacy teams to provide seamless client support.
Schedule and Work Hours:
- Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Occasional flexibility required for later audit sessions.
- Rare weekend work needed.
- 40-hour workweek.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current VA and MD Pharmacy Technician licenses are required.
- PTCB certification is highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is advantageous.
- Proficiency with medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks preferred.
- Reliable personal transportation necessary for travel between facilities; overnight stays may occasionally be required.
Mileage and lodging expenses incurred during travel will be reimbursed.
