Pharmacy Technician in Richmond, VA

An experienced IV/Infusion pharmacy technician is needed to support the expansion of a home infusion service line within a well-established healthcare system. This role focuses on preparing sterile compounded medications, including TPNs and antibiotics, with an emphasis on quality and safety.

Job Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IVs, TPNs, and other sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain quality assurance according to departmental standards and legal requirements
• Train new staff members as needed
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care
• Perform other sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as assigned

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of strong IV/infusion pharmacy technician experience, especially in home infusion settings; inpatient IV experience may also be considered
• Current VA pharmacy technician license and national certification required
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system
