Pharmacy Technician | Richmond, Virginia

This opportunity is seeking an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support the growth of a home infusion service line. This contract-to-hire position focuses on compounding sterile medications including IVs, TPNs, and antibiotics, primarily within a home infusion setting.

Location:

• Richmond, VA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shift

Responsibilities:

• Prepare IV medications, TPNs, and other sterile compounded products under licensed pharmacist supervision
• Maintain quality assurance standards in compliance with departmental and legal requirements
• Assist in training new pharmacy technicians as needed
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care
• Perform additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of strong IV/infusion pharmacy technician experience; home infusion experience highly preferred, inpatient IV experience will also be considered
• Valid VA pharmacy technician license and national certification required
• Experience with EPIC pharmacy system preferred
