This role seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a recent retail background to support pharmacy operations approximately 32 hours per week. The position offers an opportunity for long-term growth, with the goal of permanent employment and full benefits upon hire.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by assisting patients in person and via phone, addressing questions, and resolving medication or insurance concerns
  • Accurately process prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling in a fast-paced environment averaging 150 prescriptions per day
  • Support non-sterile compounding activities, preparing medications according to established formulas and safety protocols (training provided)
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and ensure timely dispensing
  • Maintain inventory, stock medications, and organize pharmacy supplies following proper storage guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent retail pharmacy technician experience; candidates with closed-door or hospital pharmacy backgrounds are not suitable for this role due to high patient interaction and foot traffic
  • PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with determination and strong communication skills

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Rotating shifts: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Location:

  • Riverside, MO area (specific location in Kansas City provided upon selection)
