Pharmacy Technician | Riverside, Missouri

A pharmacy technician with recent retail experience is needed for a contract-to-hire role with a growing pharmacy team. This position offers approximately 32 hours per week and the opportunity for long-term career advancement leading to permanent employment, which includes full benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Location: Riverside, MO
Shift: Monday to Friday, rotating between 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Duration: 13+ weeks (Temp-to-Perm)
Prescription Volume: Approximately 150 prescriptions per day
Software: PioneerRx

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting patients both in person and over the phone, addressing questions, and resolving medication or insurance concerns
• Accurately process prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling, while managing a fast-paced workload
• Support non-sterile compounding activities with full training provided, adhering to established formulas and safety practices
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and ensure the timely dispensing of medications
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by stocking medications and organizing supplies properly

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License
• Minimum one year of retail pharmacy technician experience—candidates with only long-term care or hospital experience will not be considered due to the patient-facing nature of this role
• PTCB certification is a plus but not required
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with determination and professionalism
