This opportunity offers a 13-week contract role based in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Candidates will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations by processing and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, handling insurance claims, and assisting with the packaging and shipping of medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process prescriptions accurately, handle insurance adjudications, and resolve claim rejections.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
  • Perform data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews.
  • Assist with medication returns, quarantine processes, and destruction procedures.
  • Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support department needs as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • PTCB certification and an active Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus.
  • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients, providers, and internal teams.
