Retail Certified Pharmacy Technician | Riverview, Florida

Join a dynamic pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician supporting prescription processing and pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment. This contract role, lasting 13 weeks, offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, based in Clearwater, FL, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and fill prescriptions, including handling insurance adjudications and resolving claim rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification and shipment.
• Perform data entry, manage prescription documentation, and communicate with patients and prescribers to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain rigorous inventory control through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration tracking.
• Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction following compliance guidelines.
• Cross-train across pharmacy functions to provide versatile support as needed.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification and a current Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a pharmacy technician; call center experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent time management.
• Effective communication skills with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
