Pharmacy Technician - Riverview, Florida

This Pharmacy Technician role offers a dynamic opportunity within an office setting for a 13-week contract, with the potential for extension or transition to hire. Working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM in Clearwater, FL, this position begins two weeks after the time of offer and requires a dedicated professional ready to contribute to a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions accurately while handling insurance adjudications and resolving rejection issues.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification with meticulous attention to detail.
• Perform data entry tasks, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers.
• Maintain precise inventory levels through daily cycle counts, restocking, and thorough expiration monitoring.
• Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction processes to ensure compliance.
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support departmental needs flexibly.
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to uphold confidentiality and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Must include highest education level on resume (HS diploma, GED, Bachelor’s degree, etc.).
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida with national certification (PTCB, NHA, Excpt accepted).
• A minimum of 2 years of recent pharmacy technician experience in settings such as retail, closed door, mail order, or long-term care.
• Local candidates preferred for immediate availability.
