This pharmacy technician role supports mail order pharmacy operations focused on at-home chronic care management. The position requires attention to detail, quick problem-solving, and strong patient service skills.

Location: Roanoke, VA
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret sig codes, select products, and process prescription refills accurately
• Perform data entry and verify insurance information; resolve claim rejections efficiently
• Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist approval
• Maintain inventory through cycle counts and manage returns accordingly
• Handle inbound and outbound patient and prescriber communications professionally
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid requirements, and organizational protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of pharmacy technician experience
• Active VA pharmacy technician license and PTCB certification required
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management abilities
