Per Diem Pharmacy Tech | Rochester, New York

A per diem opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to provide coverage in Rochester, NY from March 17, 2026, to April 3, 2026. This role supports daily pharmacy operations, assisting pharmacists and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 1st shift
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may extend to 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter patient information and prescription orders accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications safely and efficiently.
• Manage and replenish OTC inventory to maintain sufficient stock levels.
• Provide courteous, knowledgeable assistance to customers addressing their needs or concerns.
• Work with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues and ensure smooth prescription processing.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Prior experience in retail or 340B pharmacy settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under supervision and within established pharmacy protocols.
