Pharmacy Technician - Rockford, IL

This position offers an opportunity for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support a Long-Term Care (LTC) mail order pharmacy environment. The role focuses on PSR and billing functions, providing critical support to pharmacists, nurses, and patients to ensure optimal medication coverage.

Location: Rockford, IL
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Rotating Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform PSR duties including patient communication and support
• Manage billing and insurance verification processes
• Coordinate effectively with nurses and pharmacists to facilitate medication coverage
• Maintain accurate data entry in the QS1 computer system
• Ensure compliance with all agreements and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois (required)
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (required)
• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician in billing and PSR roles
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with QS1 computer system preferred
