A temporary Lead Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in Fayetteville, AR, offering a chance to support a specialized behavioral health pharmacy serving adolescent and adult patients. This contract role begins July 27th and requires coverage for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM—no weekend shifts needed.
Qualified candidates will hold a current Arkansas pharmacy technician license and bring experience in either inpatient or retail settings. National certification is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with HCS order entry systems and Omnicell automation is a plus; however, training will be provided. The pharmacy team consists of approximately 1.2 pharmacist FTEs, and the technician will collaborate closely with pharmacists to ensure safe and efficient medication management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Filling medication orders accurately and delivering them to medication rooms
- Managing and stocking pharmacy inventory
- Receiving daily warehouse shipments and reconciling invoices
- Reviewing and processing medication recalls
- Assisting with medication room audits and supporting pharmacists with various tasks
Candidates will participate in a two-day hospital orientation followed by on-site training by the Director of Pharmacy or pharmacist. The dress code is business casual or scrubs in any color except blue, to avoid confusion with patient attire.
