Pharmacy Technician - Sacramento, NM

Pharmacy Technicians are essential to ensure the safe and efficient operation of hospital pharmacy services. This role supports pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and assisting with patient care needs within an inpatient hospital setting. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment that values accuracy, teamwork, and patient safety.

Location:

• Hospital pharmacy located in Alamogordo, NM
• Inpatient pharmacy with a supportive team

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Rotating schedule includes working every 3rd weekend
• Weekend hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
• Assist with IV admixture preparation (if certified)
• Support chemotherapy medication handling (experience preferred)
• Manage pharmacy inventory and restock medication supplies
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician certification required
• IV certification preferred for specific assignments
• Experience handling chemotherapy medications is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends per schedule

Compensation:

• Hourly rates depending on experience and certifications:
  • Pharmacy Technician: $19 - $22
  • Pharmacy Technician with IV certification: $20 - $23
  • Pharmacy Technician with chemotherapy experience: $23 - $25
