A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician in an outpatient pharmacy setting located in Saint Clairsville, OH. This position offers a 13-week assignment with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, supporting pharmacy operations within an outpatient environment utilizing NextGen order entry systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in the accurate preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
• Maintain precise patient records, including medication profiles and histories.
• Prepare medications in various dosage forms such as pills and ointments according to prescriptions.
• Verify prescription details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals concerning prescription orders and medication inquiries.
• Process medication orders in compliance with safety and regulatory protocols.
• Ensure pharmacy operations adhere to federal, state, and local laws.
• Perform administrative duties including billing, insurance claims processing, and managing patient files.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficient pharmacy functions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician; retail pharmacy background acceptable.
• Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license.
• Familiarity with outpatient pharmacy workflows and NextGen order entry is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
