Pharmacy Technician - Saint Clairsville, OH

Support pharmacists in an outpatient pharmacy setting by accurately preparing and dispensing prescription medications while delivering excellent customer service. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medication profiles and histories.
• Prepare medications in appropriate dosage forms according to prescriptions.
• Verify prescription information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare professionals about prescription orders and medication inquiries.
• Process medication orders following safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
• Perform administrative duties including billing, insurance claims, and patient file management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Utilize NextGen for order entry and pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, retail experience is acceptable.
• Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician License.
