Pharmacy Technician - Saint Clairsville, OH

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician role in an outpatient pharmacy setting, offering a 13-week contract with daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position involves working with pharmacy software systems such as NextGen to support medication dispensing and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records, including medication profiles and histories.
• Prepare medications in various dosage forms according to prescription instructions.
• Verify prescription details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions and medication-related questions.
• Process medication orders following established safety protocols.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Perform administrative duties such as billing, managing insurance claims, and maintaining patient files.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician; retail experience is acceptable.
• Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician license.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems like NextGen is a plus.
