Pharmacy Technician in Saint Johns, FL

An urgent need exists for a Pharmacy Technician with high-volume retail experience at a healthcare facility in Jacksonville, FL. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The assignment starts immediately and is expected to last approximately 8 weeks, with the possibility to extend for the right candidate.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties including high-volume data entry and prescription dispensing.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency while keeping pace with workload demands.
• Provide exceptional patient care by assisting with medication inquiries and supporting pharmacy operations.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate proactive pharmacy intuition by identifying and addressing workflow needs.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software proficiently to manage dispensing tasks.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting.
• Experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications is highly preferred and must be noted on the resume.
• Strong communication skills with patients, team members, and healthcare providers.
