A small hospital in the St. Louis suburbs seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations. This contract opportunity begins ASAP and is expected to last approximately 8 weeks. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sterile compounding with accuracy and adherence to safety protocols
- Restock Omnicell medication dispensing systems efficiently
- Field incoming calls to the pharmacy, providing timely assistance
- Support daily pharmacy workflow and maintain medication inventory
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety
Qualifications:
- Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Local candidates or those within reasonable commute distance strongly preferred
